With the end of the school year, environmental education activities often change audience and even context: they leave the classroom and formal correspondence with academic curricula for a few months, and more than ever are put at the service of summer camps, families and people looking for an enriching leisure time in contact with nature.<\/p>\n

While this is happening, it is also a good time to compile the work done and take a breath of fresh air and momentum for the next course. We share with you the highlights of this first semester of 2023 in terms of environmental education.<\/p>\n

More than 14,000 schoolchildren from all over Spain have received the Aqualogy program<\/a> o various activities in classrooms by the Agbar Group's educational services on the urban cycle, waste and climate change, with the aim of raising awareness among young people and awakening a critical sense towards the preservation of natural resources.<\/p>\n

Among the activities for the adult public, the FRESCO workshop sessions on climate change stand out, which aims to raise awareness of the environmental crisis and its consequences on the living world, and to promote the positive impact of each professional in achieving global commitments, setting an example and deploying ecological and transformative solutions.<\/p>\n

Between waters, rivers and forests<\/strong><\/p>\n

The various environmental education programs managed by Escuela del Agua in natural and open-air sites also continue their course with the arrival of summer.<\/p>\n

ARTIKUTZAKO NATURA, promoted by the San Sebastian City Council, offers the general public the opportunity to get to know this privileged landscape located at the headwaters of the A\u00f1arbe River, through its natural values and historical heritage. So far in 2023 more than 120 people have visited the park with a proposal of more than 10 different itineraries and some outings with specialists such as historians, mycologists, ornithologists and herpetologists.<\/p>\n

The Aula Did\u00e1ctica de La Grajera, in Logro\u00f1o, Logro\u00f1o, is at the service of all citizens and aims to facilitate knowledge and highlight the environmental value of this lagoon converted into a park accessible to everyone through dynamic itineraries, as well as offering a wide variety of fun and practical workshops to raise awareness among the population about environmental habits and values.<\/p>\n

Nilsa, Navarre of Local Infrastructures<\/a>The workshops, where more than 293 visits have been made to more than 5620 participants with workshops mainly for schoolchildren, tools that allow combining environmental awareness and learning of curricular content. All the workshops develop the theme of water, working on the concepts of the water cycle, responsible use, sustainable management, pollution, purification... The aim is to involve the students by carrying out activities that will make them see the capacity we have to influence the water cycle.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
