Educational innovation

Innovación educativa

In an ever-changing world, the implementation of education and training measures related to the green economy, digitalization and entrepreneurship are essential to have the qualified talent with which to face today's challenges.

Our innovation focuses on the development of sector competencies, personalization and immersion technologies, learning assessment and applicability systems, and the creation of public-private networks for professional training.

We participate in the following European innovation projects:

Three-level centers of professional excellence

Three-level centers of professional excellence

Meeting the challenges in the fields of energy, climate and environmental protection requires innovation and public-private collaboration to address the shortage of skilled workers in the green economy.

To make the sector more attractive and increase VET excellence, 22 partners from 7 countries and 60 associate partners from 13 other countries have joined forces to develop a joint training program for professionals and trainers.

Water Challenge VET Labs

Water Challenge VET Labs

How to improve water management in European cities through nature-based solutions? This is the challenge posed to three international groups of students from different areas of vocational training.

To achieve this, the teams, made up of students from schools in Denmark, Belgium and Spain, use methodologies such as CBL (challenge-based learning) and other innovative tools applied to an archetypal European city.

Greenskills in VET

Greenskills in VET

Driven by the European Association of Services of General Interest (SGI Europe) and the European Federation of Education Employers (EFEE), the project focuses on establishing professional competencies in the context of the green economy in three key utilities: water, transport and energy.

The project, developed during the period 2021-2023, has had the participation of companies and training centers from six Member States (Netherlands, Portugal, Belgium, France, Germany and Spain). The Municipal Water Company of Tarragona, EMATSA, has been the reference partner of the projects for the water sector, and has had the educational and professional qualification support of the Water School, which has been recognized as one of the best practices at European level.

Spire-sais

Spire-sais

This project, driven by an alliance of energy-intensive industries, maps the new skills required to meet the needs of these sectors.

The Skills Pact is a shared commitment and approach to skills development. It is firmly anchored in the principles of the European Pillar of Social Rights and supports the objectives of the Green Pact and the digital transformation, as set out by the European Commission.
