Due to the evident and accelerated change in the environment, it is essential that managers involved in decision-making processes with an impact on sustainability be aware of the tools and trends for the definition of new strategies and business lines (products, services) related to green transition.
The new Postgraduate Program in Management Development in Sustainable Business is a program developed by the Escuela del Agua and accredited by the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) - Barcelona School of Management (BSM)with the objective of training leaders for the green transitionThe challenges and opportunities arising from it are addressed.
The program combines technical contents with transversal skills for the direction and management of companies or departments related to the environmental sector, from a strategic, financial and organizational perspective.
The third edition of the program will start in November 2023 (limited places).

Methodology
The Postgraduate in Management Development in Sustainable Business, The joint UPF-BSM and Water School program will offer you maximum flexibility. to make it compatible with your professional and personal responsibilities.
The program's blended methodology combines face-to-face sessions in Barcelona, sessions in synchronous format via videoconference and online modules (30%) that you will work on individually.
Each subject is made up of different types of sessions (master classes and synchronous remote seminars, given by specialists and professionals in the sector), active methodologies (individual and group practical activities, and personalized access to mentoring) and self-learning methodologies (reading online didactic content, introductory tests, self-assessment activities and other learning complements, such as complementary bibliography, related articles and videos).

The program places special emphasis on the strengthening of managerial functions, both in substance and form, through training sessions. mentoringYou will learn how to solve environmental problems in new or unfamiliar environments, how to make sustainable development decisions based on limited information, time management, leadership and effective communication of conclusions. You will reflect on the potential of digital transformation linked to sustainability and get the keys to integrate the green transition as a lever of innovation and stimulus for the transformation of your organization through creativity. During the program you will put into practice the detection of business opportunities through business cases.

Those who successfully complete the program and meet the necessary academic requirements will be awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Management Development in Sustainable Business issued by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) - Barcelona School of Management (BSM).
To obtain the Postgraduate Degree it is necessary to have an official university degree or a university degree equivalent to a degree, diploma or bachelor's degree.
