MOOC: Eficiencia Hidráulica en Redes de Agua

Globally, it is estimated that the volume of unregistered water (ANR) every day reaches 45 million cubic meters, enough to supply 200 million people (Global Water Market, 2011).

This free course reviews, in its four modules, the latest trends in the diagnosis and control of ANRThe aim is to control both real and apparent losses, i.e. to reduce the volume lost due to leaks and to reduce the volume lost due to consumption measurement errors and fraud.

AIMED AT:

  • Profiles with an interest in developing or continuing to develop professionally in water technology and management and sustainable development, and who wish to contribute to optimizing the efficiency of the network and to contribute economic, environmental, socio-health and technological benefits.

IF YOU COMPLETE IT SUCCESSFULLY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Master the concepts related to network efficiency and non-revenue water.

  • Calculate network efficiency control ratios.

  • Diagnose the state of a network in terms of efficiency.

  • Design a management plan for minimizing the volume of unregistered water in a distribution system.

Hydraulic efficiency in water networks

This MOOC presents the latest trends in the diagnosis and control of ANRThe aim is to control both real and apparent losses, i.e. to reduce the volume lost due to leaks and to reduce the volume lost due to consumption measurement errors and fraud.

All the concepts and considerations that must be taken into account in order to perform a correct diagnosis of the systembased on which an action plan will be designed to optimize its efficiency and maintain it over time.
