The tenth anniversary of the advent of Dual Vocational Training in Spain is being celebrated this year with various events, a paradigm of vocational training that has contributed decisively to changing the employability and social perception of middle-level training, to the point that the recently approved law on Vocational Training establishes that all middle and higher level training cycles will be carried out in a dual manner (either in general or intensive mode).

This regulatory achievement is a recognition of the vision of those institutions that, as in the case of the Escuela del Agua, were committed to Dual Vocational Training from the beginning, and also of the students, educational centers and companies that throughout this period have been adopting and growing this model. However, there is still much to be done in terms of student orientation, educational innovation and joint work between centers and companies to maximize the transfer of knowledge and the attraction of young talent in direct interaction with the world of work.

The Water School is a pioneer in the commitment to dual vocational training, promoting since its inception the Middle Grade in Water Networks at the Pere Martell Institute in Tarragona, and subsequently expanding studies to the Higher Degree in Water Management and collaboration with centers in Galicia, Catalonia, the Canary Islands, Murcia, Andalusia, Madrid and Valencia. This commitment has allowed to date to deploy a professional training that meets the expectations of people and territories.
