The green transition implies a reindustrialization with new strong sectors that add value and create quality jobs. And the water sector generates confidence and employment in the green economy. In this sense, professional skills must be oriented towards reducing the consumption of resources, waste and pollution, combating climate change and its effects by protecting ecosystems and biodiversity, and creating products and services that drive the circular economy. The training of current and future professional talent must be aligned to materialize strategic plans in this regard at the local and regional level.

Focused on these new challenges and the development of these new capabilities, in the field of executive training, a management development program aimed at the green transition will begin this October, co-developed jointly by the Water School and the Pompeu Fabra University - Barcelona School of Management.

Its main objective will be to develop managers capable of leading teams and organizations in the face of current challenges and trends with a global vision, who know how to connect businesses and companies from a systematic vision, based on sustainability with a humanistic foundation and environmental conservation. The current business context implies new challenges and opportunities; new horizons of success, which are no longer measured only in economic terms, but in indicators such as sustainability, talent management, the ability to collaborate, care for the environment, social responsibility of organizations or reputation.
